About me
Ing. arch. Vladimir Martinec
An architectural, interior, and product photographer with an architectural eye for detail.
I'm originally from the Krkonoše Mountains, but I live and work in Prague. I've been taking photos since 2005, when I bought my first SLR camera in the U.S. I graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT) and combine my work as an architect with photography. That's why I have a very close connection to photographing this field. Thanks to my architectural education, I understand what the client or investor wants to convey—and the photo must express that at first glance. I understand the perspective from both sides, as both a creator and a photographer. In my work, I combine technical precision, a feel for light, and the ability to tell a story. I capture exteriors and interiors in a way that highlights their composition, scale, and atmosphere.
I believe that a good photograph has the power to showcase the value of a project, support sales, and reveal to the viewer what is otherwise visible only to the trained eye.
For me, every project is a dialogue—between light, space, and materials, and their purpose.
I round out my portfolio with product, advertising, and portrait photography.
